TOS Review: Master Innovations

In exchange for our review, we received some very nifty items from Master Innovations (http://www.themasterruler.com/). The Master Ruler (yes, there is a play on words here!) is a God given idea to a teacher who prayed for a tool to better be able to teach children how to understand rulers, which tended to confuse her students with all the various lines. She then actually dreamed of herself using a specific tool to teach her students, and the Master Ruler is the result. What an amazing story! So, you know it's a phenomenal product since the idea came from God!

We received two rulers, the Master Ruler and the Metric Master Ruler, and the Master Ruler Workbook. Instead of the standard ruler, these consist of multiple rulers in one, spiral bound together. Each one is made of clear plastic with only one type of measurement on each. For instance, the Master Ruler has five layers of rulers, and the measurements are inches, half inches, quarter inches, eighth inches, and sixteenth inches. The Metric Master Ruler has three layers, with decimeters, centimeters, and millimeters. This allows the student to easily see the different measurements, and how they fit within the other measurements, very easily and without confusion. This tool makes it so much easier for children to learn to understand and use rulers.

Each ruler sells for $9.95, which I consider to be a very reasonable price. The workbook is $15.95, and has ample opportunity to practice measuring with each layer of the rulers. All can be ordered here: http://www.themasterruler.com/store/the-master-ruler,category.asp.

I found it much easier to help my son understand ruler measurements using the Master Rulers. This is an excellent product which I can heartily recommend.
