TOS Review: Meastro Classics

We received a copy of a dramatized version of Peter and the Wolf on CD from Maestro Classics' Stories in Music series. There are currently seven titles in the series, one of which is also in Spanish. Each one is richly narrated by a gifted man named Yadu, who is an incredibly talented storyteller. The London Philharmonic Orchestra provides the accompanying symphony music. Together, these classic tales are brought to life for children.

Our boys love this CD, and have listened to it several times already. It's something you can listen to and escape. I prefer a dramatized audio story over video, as I find it highly enjoyable to relax and imagine. These CDs foster imagination , which is so important in our technology driven life today. Children are also taught great literature through this series.

In addition to the actual story, much background information about the story, author, and history is also given, greatly adding to the educational quality.
